Applying Nail Art Powder

Step by step guide

When you’re applying one of our Powders, the process is the same. In this guide, we’ll take Pearl Powder as the example, but the application is the same whether it’s Unicorn Powder, Clear Powder, Pearl Powder, or Chrome that you want to apply to your nails. We’ll jump straight into the application of Powders, so if you haven’t applied your base yet, you can use one of our other guides.

    1. Apply your Top Coat

Once you have created the base you want to apply Powders on, you need to apply Top Coat. This is done in the same way as your Base Coat and Gel Polish. However, our Top Coat does not leave a sticky layer afterwards.

Your Top Coat also needs to cure in our UV/LED Lamp for 60–90 seconds.

    2. Apply your powder

Once you have cured your Top Coat, apply Pearl Powder with the included powder brush. It is important to make sure you rub the product evenly over the entire nail. You don’t need to worry about the skin around the nail, as our Pearl Powder only adheres once you apply Top Coat on top, meaning any excess can be washed away.

You can advantageously avoid applying Pearl Powder to the nail tip, as you did with your other products. This leaves an area of the nail for your Top Coat to bond. If powder has gotten on the nail tip, you can use a 400-grit nail file to carefully clean the tip.

Once you are satisfied with how you have applied your Pearl Powder, it is time to apply a final layer of Top Coat.

    3. Apply your Top Coat

Once you have applied the powder, finish by applying a layer of Top Coat. This is done in the same way as your Base Coat and Gel Polish. It is important to be thorough in sealing the Top Coat at the tip of the nail. This ensures that your powder lasts longer without chipping. After applying your Top Coat, cure it for 60–90 seconds in our UV/LED lamp.

If you notice that your Powders chip quickly, it may be because the Top Coat seal wears off as you use your nails. To avoid this, you can apply an extra layer of Top Coat.

Now you have created the most beautiful shiny nails all by yourself! You can advantageously apply a little cuticle oil around the edges, and your nails are finished.
