    1. File off your Top Coat

The first thing you should do when you begin removing your Gel Polish is to file off the top layer. At a minimum, you need to file through your Top Coat, which allows our Magic Remover to penetrate your Gel Polish and dissolve the product. However, it is important that you do not file through all of the product and hit your natural nail.

You can either use a hand file with 100/180 grit or our electric nail file with a Mandrel Bit and a Sanding Band with grit 100 to 180, depending on what you prefer. It is just important that you only file in one direction and avoid filing back and forth.

A good rule of thumb is: the more of the product you file off, the less time it takes for our Magic Remover to work. But be careful not to file all the way through your Base Coat and hit your natural nail! Take your time, and feel free to take short breaks along the way to check how much of your Gel Polish you have removed. Better a little too cautious than too eager!

    Apply Magic Remover

Once you have removed the top layer of your Gel Polish, you can apply our Magic Remover to the remaining product on your nail. It is important that our Magic Remover does not come into direct contact with your natural nail, meaning it must be applied on top of the product that is already on your nail. It is also important to avoid touching the skin around the nail with our Magic Remover. It is better to keep a millimeter’s distance from the skin around the nail than to risk hitting it.

The consistency of our Magic Remover is thick and clumpy, and that is completely intentional! The unique formula makes it easier to apply a thick layer without it sliding around on the nail.

    Wait 10 minutes

Once you have applied Magic Remover, you need to let the product work for 10 minutes. During these 10 minutes, you will see the product bubbling and lifting off the nail. You may also experience a slight tightening sensation in the nail. This is completely normal and happens because the product contracts on the surface of the nail. It does not harm your natural nail.

    4. Push off your Gel Polish

After waiting 10 minutes, or once you can see that your Gel Polish has lifted from the nail, you can gently push off the product with an orangewood stick or our cuticle pusher. It is important not to press hard on the nail plate but instead make sure that your Gel Polish has loosened enough to be easily removed with gentle movements. Be careful with your nails so they can continue to grow long and beautiful!

Once you have pushed all the loose product off the nail, soak a Lint-Free Pad with Cleanser and clean your nails.

    5. Remove any residue

After you have pushed off the loose Gel Polish, there may still be small residue left on the nail. You can easily remove it by simply buffing your nail with our buffer. Once you have buffed the nail, take a Lint-Free Pad soaked in Cleanser and clean the nail again.

This will leave you with a completely smooth and clean nail plate – ready for a new product or to shine as beautiful natural nails.

    6. Apply cuticle oil

Wash your hands thoroughly, and then apply cuticle oil. Massage the oil in both around the cuticles and under the nails for maximum care.

Cuticle oil provides your nails with the nourishment they need to stay strong and healthy. It prevents dryness, promotes healthy growth, and keeps your cuticles soft and well-groomed – so your hands always look beautiful and well cared for.

Guide

Why is my Magic Remover clumpy?

It is completely normal for your Magic Remover to have a clumpy consistency – in fact, that is the point! The thick texture makes it easier to apply the remover precisely on the nail without it running onto the cuticles.

Remember that Magic Remover must not come into contact with the skin. Always be careful when using it.

Why is my Magic Remover yellow?

No need to worry! The yellow color is completely normal and is simply due to the product’s composition.

Note: Magic Remover must never come into direct contact with the skin. After opening, the product may become slightly yellow due to a reaction with oxygen – however, this does not affect its effectiveness.
